It’s exhausting to feel like you’re falling short. It’s a time and energy drain to feel like you have to do more and more, all the time. It’s so much pressure we put on ourselves to be what we think we need to be that we miss the mark on just BEing ourselves and enjoying life.
That was the exact reason why I decided to be an entrepreneur. At the time I didn’t have the language to explain what was going on with me internally, but I knew something wasn’t right.
I had ‘everything’ on paper that one should have by my age yet I was severely unsatisfied and empty inside. Oh the irony.
Everything felt forced, hard to accomplish. I was irritable and frustrated and disappointed with myself and I couldn’t pinpoint why.
But now I realize I was so detached from my energetic essence that my soul was aching to reconnect and it didn’t know-how. I placed my worth on validation from my peers, boyfriend and bank balance and it left me feeling nothing but emptiness. I knew I had to do something, something had to give. So I took a break, to breathe. Reset. Recalibrate.
Sometimes we need to just LISTEN but we are running too fast to hear the sounds of our inner knowing. I know this now.
Once I took a brief break, all of the messages started to flood in. There was a deep knowing that I was meant to build a business of my own without limits. I didn’t know how or even where to start but there was a sense of calm and ease within me that assured me it was the right move.
Baby step by baby step, I started to envision my business. At the time, it was Sundari Swim I was dreaming up, and boy, did it awaken my creative spirit within that had been dormant for so long.
Everything was an adventure, from finding the tailor, to ethically sourcing the gemstones from all over the world, to finding a jeweler to make every Sundari crystal. I felt like a private investigator piecing together clues to solve the puzzle and I loved it.
It wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies though, hell no. I can’t count how many times my collection launch was pushed back. To give you an idea, my launch date was moved 8 months after I originally anticipated for a number of reasons.
I tell you this because I believe Entrepreneurship is one of the most divine experiences you can offer yourself and the world. You get to meet your darkest shadow self when you are confronted with things that trigger your subconscious behaviors and beliefs AND you get the opportunity to move through them rapidly.
This makes for rapid expansion and personal growth. As a byproduct of meeting both the light and dark sides of yourself, comes self-trust, confidence, creativity, abundance and energetic alignment.
When you are operating from a place of connection to your higher self or what I like to call your unique energetic DNA, you consciously elevate your vibrational pattern, therefore, attracting new people, results, and desired circumstances in your life.
Did I make and do I make mistakes as an entrepreneur? Sure. Do I embarrass myself daily? Probably. Would I change any part of it? Never.
Have you ever considered being an entrepreneur? If you are an entrepreneur, what was your story for heading in this direction? What’s your company so I can check it out? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
